Brent Swanson
President
Responsible for the effective management of 504 Capital’s business development, strategic sales, and company growth, Brent Swanson has over 35 years of experience in commercial banking and with Certified Development Companies (CDCs).
Brent earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Appalachian State University, before going on to earn a Masters degree in Business Administration from East Carolina University. He has worked with such respected financial institutions as SunTrust, SouthTrust, BB&T, First Citizens Bank, Mellon Bank, and PNC Bank.
Prior to joining 504 Capital, Brent served at multiple CDCs in a variety of roles including Executive Director, Operations Manager, Underwriter, and Business Development Officer. In his roles, Brent developed a comprehensive lending network of major industry players as well as smaller regional and community banks.
Brent has marketed, underwritten, and packaged hundreds of SBA 504 loans for small businesses over the past decade. Detail-oriented, knowledgeable, and patient, there is no one better at guiding small business owners through the intricacies of acquiring a loan.
Brent is a member of the National Association of Development Companies (NADCO). He is married with three beautiful daughters.
